Brother King Hits 25 Years of Service

Heart felt congratulations and a 25 gun salute are in order for Beta Psi Lambda, “The Grand Chapter,” Brother Theodore Joseph King.  Brother King was initiated Nov. 13, 1988, through the Beta Eta Chapter seated at the Southern Illinois University Carbondale campus.  He was joined on his Alpha journey by 16 Sphinx Brothers on the ship “USS Chaos.”  Brother King has served Alpha in many capacities over the course of his 25 year membership including most recently a three year tenure as director of Beta Psi Lambda and Southern California District March of Dimes efforts amassing a grand total in excess of $6,000 during his tenure.  He currently serves The Grand Chapter as its Recording Secretary and as a member in good standing of the Education and Housing Committees.


Brother King is employed by the County of Los Angeles specializing in the procurement and administration of retirement benefits.  Brother King presents himself as a soft-spoken and highly effective leader of Alpha Phi Alpha and Beta Psi Lambda and is held in the highest of regard by the Brothers of the Grand Chapter.  A toast, a toast for Brother King and A Phi A!
